difference between 2gas and 2gbs?

I know that the bodies are different but the other day i drove my friends 2gb rs and it seems like it is a lot faster and it shifts a lot better than my 96 gs. I was able to bark the hell out of the tires every time and had no problem with missed gears but in my car i miss gears a lot and i cant ever bark the tires. We have basically the same mods too.

Considering I've never heard them mentioned like that before, I assume you are trying to discern the differences between the earlier and later 2GNTs? Doubt there's any difference other than the later models generally have less miles on them and things haven't "let themselves go" to the same extent as the earlier models which have had a few more years to get abused.

Well his only has about 2000 less miles on it but the shifter feels like it has a shorter throw. He said he didnt have a short throw but he also said that he built a 5.0 that was fully built z. I think that i might be needing a new clutch soon.
