Did I get a good deal on this GSX?

I payed 5k, the guy said he put a new motor in it, and has about 4000 miles on the new motor. Apparently its all stock. Only bad thing I can see with it is the fact its auto, but after seeing some timeslips of people with autos I wanted to buy it. The engine sounded pretty good, only the teeniest amount of tapping. Sounds better than my 2003 mazda6.

I even looked under the car to make sure it had a differential in the rear .

Anyhoo, this thing is way slow (compared to my mazda6) I'm hoping that theres nothing seriously wrong with it. Any easy things for me to look for? Crankwalk scares me.

yeah, that's all right. i got a 97 gs-t spyder for 5700 and high miles, so with the new engine, that probably boosts the value of that car.
