which intake should i get if i'm planning to install a front mounted intercooler, the 1gN or 1gM?

You are looking for the 1g-N intake. It has the clearance that you are looking for. Go to www.dejontool.com. I actually have one and I added the bypass air that has a smaller secondary smaller k&n fillter. It was a huge improvement over stock.

If you're going to install a front mount with short route piping and continue to use the 1g mas then you'll want the 1g-N.

If you're going to go to a short routed front mount and will be upgrading to a gm maft at the same time then you'll want to go with the 1g-L or 1g-Q depending on turbo size as these will provide a nice straight shot to your sidemount intercooler area.

If you're going to run the maft but use long route piping you may be able to get away with using the 1g-L if you do your piping right.

If you're going to keep the 1g mas and use long route piping on the front mount you could also use the 1g-M then.

If you have any more questions on products from dejontool, pm me, I'll do what I can to help.
