well i don't think he is worried about the visual appearance of it. I think he just wants to install the one that will cool the turbo better.

Which intercooler is a better setup? The supra sidemount or the very first one on this page? http://www.dejontool.com/DSM-1g FIC.htm

My friend has both and is trying to figure out which to install.
for 549$ you can get a JRP intercooler or johnny race core and make or have your pipes made and it will be a much better intercooler

Well he already has both intercoolers so he's not gonna get a different one. He got the whole FMIC with pipeing for only $200 from a guy locally who was parting out his car. He paid about $130 to $150 for the supra sidemount. The supra sidemount looks like it is a bigger core in total space. At least it is for sure on width. That is why he's not sure which would be more efficient.

sorry.. the supra smic is probably better, but a pain to fit.

Depends on how willing he is to get serious with the project. I don't really know the specs on either, but if he's not planning on going with a big turbo either one should be able to push the smaller turbo's 14b's and 16G's. Anything bigger and I'd look for another Intercooler. Tell him to sell the other two and go for one bigger and better :thumb:

That Dejon is girly size. Yeah, it's a front-mount, yeah, it's bar and plate, but, yeah, it's girly size. So, I'd say go with the Supra, but he's already got the pipes for the FM, and while the Supra isn't too big a pain to install, neither should be a FM that size with pipes already made. And the front-mount is prettier than the Supra.
