Well, i didnt see this anywhere so i will post it up, sorry i dont have too many pictures.

Again, this reveiw is for an Automatic because there are a few things that need to be changed in order for it to fit properly, this isnt really an install guide, just some things you might run into while trying to install one on an Automatic 2g.

Ok, i got the "newer" intercooler kit off of www.dejonpowerhouse.com it came packaged very good but they used too many peanuts and forgot to plug up the intlet/oulet holes on the core, as you can tell many peanuts got in and i had to get them out, not a big deal. They also forgot to send a J pipe with the kit so i had to wait a little bit for it but that wasnt really a big deal either to me because i wasnt in a hurry to get the intercooler on.

Description- The core is a beautiful and very big 24" wide 12" high and 3" thick, the piping came powder coated a nice shiny black(you can choose from many different colors) and the ends are beaded so the couplers hold on nice and tight, also comes with very good sylicone couplers.

Dejon's customer service is excellent btw. they answered all off my questions/problems i have very fast

Now, the install, if i had a manual tranny car this would have been a bit easier but it wasnt all that bad, me and a couple friends did it in a couple hours. (It shouldnt have taken this long but there was 3 trips to the parts store which is 15 minutes away)

The mounting brackets will have to be bent so you can move the core out slighty so its not hitting the trans-cooler lines, you will have to bend the lines a little bit or hit them very lightly with a hammer so they arent as thick(i mean very lightly, they are very easy to bend and too much will kink the line or possibly snap it)

Next was the power steering line, this was any easy fix, take all of the line out that wraps in front of the radiator and just get a peice of rubber hose and loop the line right back into the power steering cooler with about 6" of line, if not the Core will not fit in without hitting the lines and possibly burning the core.

Now, onto mounting the core up. The mounting brackets that are used for the top of the core will have to be bent a little bit to raise the core up and keep it spaced out far enough from the transmission cooler lines. The core will sit up a little higher then normal but this isnt all that bad for fear of bottoming out and ruining the intercooler. But now with changing how the core is mounted this will affect how the piping is, this is also an easy fix, the couplers that Dejon gives you are about 2 inch couplers for the inlet and outlet, you will have to go somewhere and buy new 3 inch couplers for the inlet and outlet so the piping mounts up right and it will make everything a little bit easier.

Ok, onto the piping, like i said, you will need 2 3 inch couplers for the inlet and outlet to make things a bit easier so the piping lines up right. I cut a little bit out of the inner fender well for more clearance for the upper piping but everything will line up right if you use new 3" couplers instead of the 2" inlet/outlet couplers for the core.

My lower intercooler pipe had a pin-hole in the weld which was creating a huge boost leak at 1st but now that thats fixed its fine. I deffinately felt a difference even with the boost leak, i am having other problems with my car right now so I cant really drive it hard but i deffinately could feel how much it has improved.

I would recommend this kit to anyone, and everyone even though i had some problems at first with the hole in the weld, and them forgetting to ship out the J pipe just becasue they are good people that give us qaulity parts for cheap.

This is what i was talking about when i said the core sat up a little higher then normal, not a huge difference or a flaw in my book.

Heres another picture of the car with no bumper with the hood closed

And heres a picture of the black peice cut out of the bumper and the difference in how it sits again.
