Definition of Knock

Please tell me knock isn't that ticking sound i hear when i start my car. Cuz if it is i need help quick, and ways to end it. it usually stops once the car warms up if that helps.

It is most likely the common lifter tick that most DSMers get. When more oil pressure reaches the head, the lifters stop ticking. This is why the sound goes away when it warms up.

You might want to try an oil stabilizer. I tried Lucas oil stabilizer and it went away.

could, but i doubt it cuz you have the better 2g exaust manifold, be the exaust manifold is cracked, mine is and it makes a really loud ticking....

I'd bet that is correct. Very common. If you really want to fix the problem replace the lifters with the 3g revised lifters. I used to have lifter tick, and after replacing them with the new lifters its silent.
