Some other locals DSMers on the DSMAP forum and I decided it was time for a Portland meet to meet some new people and talk DSMs.

Where: Red Robin, Mall 205
When: NEW DATE 1/25/09 at noon
Who: DSMers

I was thinking we could meet up in the parking lot, maybe grab some lunch, go for a drive if the weather is good, just depends on how many show up. Post here if you are up for coming. I'll update this thread if anything gets changed.

I can make it for a lunch at least. Maybe the cruz if its short enough. It'd be nice to finally meet all the dsmrs that I see on the road.

Awesome, so far thats 4 of us, all with 90s too. Maybe we should just make it a 90s only meet? LOL. Let us get some more people coming.

I can probably make it up there, depends on work and what not, but it's good to see a Portland meet! Nice and close :thumb:

Sounds like a pretty good turn out. I'm hoping to get my AFPR installed, DSMAP up and running on E85 by the time of the meet.

My bro has a 92 tsi, he said he would come also. That would be cool if you can get ## car running on e85. so far i am the only person i have met running e85 on the streets.

I know Ravenous is running E85 too and he will be there. We'll see what progress I can make this weekend on the install.

fyi, NBayer1614 and his bro are my two friends (just to keep the count straight). We might have one more that might show up.

Am i welcome even though i jsut got my 1995 GSX completely stock? i dont know much about DSMs but would love to learn some more and see some sick cars.

Yeah, sure. Fresh meat! :sneaky: LOL. Really though, come on out.

the best way to learn about your car is to meet people who have already worked on them. the more people the better.

I completely agree. As long as no one acts like an asshat and gets the cops called, this should be a learning experience.

AFPR is installed, DSMAP is up and running, just have to get my VE tables reasonably tuned. I can't wait for the meet!

I will try to make it...My Girly has that whole weekend off, and I might be dropping my care of at Revv. so we will see.

and on a side note... is there any salem area 1Gs I really need someones help. I think My ECU has taking a crap and would like to try it in another car.. Please PM me I dont want to Hijack this thread. Thanks

I may show up in VR4 786/2000. Needs tires, but I should be able to get them on and the motor running again by then.

Yeah right, the po' po' phear my dual RFLz. :rocks: They are about as cool as a single RFL (not very), but you guys can see them in person at the meet.

Slow1stgen I sent you a PM.

I wana come.... Can you guys end this stupid war over here. LoL

My vote will always be to bring you guys home... If I make it end will you come tune my lean burn for me ;).

I'm excited to meet you guys. My car is currently being neglected as I just picked up a 93 chevy 3/4ton that has a blown head gasket ($750 straight extended cab 4wd automatic-so my fiance can drive it), so that is my priority for the moment. I will try to at least wash my eclipse though. My fiance will be coming with me so feel free to bring your significant and not so significant others. 12 people so far... I am quite impressed. I remember when I drove up to Bellingham for a Focus meet:coy: and only 1 other guy showed up... lame. I was hoping to have the HX35 installed for the meet but I couldn't pass up the truck. In my opinion the first upgrade for a dsm should be a secondary vehicle anyway:D.
