Has anyone used this and if it worth it. Its 117 before shipper. I need a new turbo manifold bad and alittle short on cash. My manifold has been rewelded so many times it still leaks flange is warped.

Its a hit or miss when purchasing products from ebay. I try to stay away from any knock off products but I know ppl who has had good success from them. Id suggest a nice 2g mani or even the FP. You can get a 2g at nearly the same price and you know it will work. I think the FP is about $100 more than the CXR once but sometimes that $100 can save you a lot more money in the end. Whatever you do, it s your car so good luck

Well said.. EVERYTHING is hit or miss.

OP,

I know guys on other turboforums (v8 stuff) runnig the "china" ebay headers. with good results. the ket is brake the turbos so your not stressing the welds with a lot of weight.

Ive made a few of my own turbo kits and lots of fab work, etc.. stainless / ms, etc.. I bought a few ebay kits to examine for people and do a review. As most know its a cheap china cold rolled stainless thats robotic welded and not gass purned on the inside when manufactured. (this is one reason for the weak welds)

Id stay away of the ebay stuff if its a daily driver. Find a used 2g mani cheap. of save a few more bucks and get a FP mani. Hell I think I might have one on a shelf if your interested . just pay shipping.

i installed my pasesetter turbo mani a few weeks ago and so far running runing fine. i know only has like 200 miles on it but looking at the welds there good and also there is a support from the exhust flange to the turbo flange so theres good support there. the stock exhust gasket meets up good. a good port will make it flow better but its just about the same as stock. iv ran pasesetter headers on my jeeps and i never had a prob with em so im hoping the same with this. i know the turbo on it it putting more stress but so far with the satisfactions i had with em with my jeeps i think they will be good for my dsm.

2g will work but an evo 3 exhaust manifold will do just as well and I was always told they flow even better than the 2g's. I have one on my car and I picked it up for 90 bucks. Well worth it.

Pacesetter actually predates the Chinese copies of actual parts, but it is relevant as in the sense that it's also junk.
