So Im looking to replace my CV boots because mine ripped. I have been trying to locate some for awhile now and no luck. Well tonight I was offered ALL the CV boots off a 1g, but wasnt sure if they are the same as a 2g. Can anyone verify the swap for me?

I need 2g turbo FWD CV boots

Whatever you do, don't use the "universal" boots. They're horrible.

Your talking about the slit cover boots, that advance or autozone sells. Yeah I was told the same thing, so I have been trying to find someones parts car boots.

They make a "universal" boot that is supposed to work on any car if you get the right range size. It's not a slit one. The problem is, they have a round portion on the cup. The instructions want you to cut part of your old one off and use it under the new one. Total crap.

I've always ordered boots off RockAuto. I've never had a problem with them, and the shipping is quick. It's usually 2 day for most parts for me.

this is what my buddy just did. He sent me the item numbers from rockauto on the cv boots I needed. But, like I said someone just offered me his off his 1g for free just pay shipping. Well if they will fit a 2g then great, if not, then rockauto it is

I just installed one of those universal boot kits on my 95 and it wasn't that bad. I

suggest using hose clamps instead of those junk clamps that come with it. I paid

20 bucks for the kit from Crow Burlingame.
