cv boot shape

So I was looking at the repalcement boots at advanced, and I noticed they are a perfect circle with no 3 half moon shapes inside to fit the green axel part. The original boots do this.

Has anyone else ran into this, and what did you do? I am going to call mitsu in the morning but today is sunday.

if your getting new cv boots for your axles your better off getting new axles.

thats because perfect circle boots are for OUTERS position on tne cv axle and the 3 half moon ones are for the INNER position on the cv axle.

stupid parts store!! gave me the wrong one then. They have 95 on them and look fine and dont make noise.

I ordered from napa and i think for one inner and one outer it was 17 and 21 each. 2 day wait too.

Mitsu wanted 60 per boot. For that you can get the who new axel and boots from Raxels or a parts store

well as long as its that cheap and you don't have any play in the u joints go for it...
