Just got done painting up my new valve cover and I figured I'd show off. :D what do you guys think? Not bad considering I didn't really try too hard. It was used and started out the typical grey with red letters. I sanded it, sprayed it high temp satin black, and polished the letters. Also taped off and sprayed part of my aluminum Bushur Racing plug cover. To top it all off I bought stainless allen head bolts for it and a bada$$ custom oil cap(powdercoated satin black with mirror piece in center and Talon logo etched in it)...gotta love E-bay!

Damn man that looks awesome, Great job! Just out of curiousity how did you polish the letters, I wanted to do something along the same lines with mine but I'm not sure how to go about getting the letters in a nice silver like you did. If you could PM me with the details I would really appreciate it!

I think it looks great I can tell you spent your time on it and did a really good job

Nice work man

Looks kick ass, also loving the cap a ton. I am considering that myself. Also the plug cover adds a nice touch, and will all look good with more underhood accents.

Yea I'm actually trying to figure out what else I can do to make the engine bay look better...if I can work up the courage and patience I might paint the "Buschur Racing" letters black to match everything. Any ideas for other accents?

The gasket Bonehead uses is thick but it works. Just turn it more. If you painted where the gasket goes that is your problem as it is now thicker and also might not seal as well. I would sand that back down and then you won't have any problems. Here is mine with the Bonehead oil cap. Their's is the best cap I've ever seen for these cars and the price isn't bad either. Great choice!
