Just got done painting up my new valve cover and I figured I'd show off. :D what do you guys think? Not bad considering I didn't really try too hard. It was used and started out the typical grey with red letters. I sanded it, sprayed it high temp satin black, and polished the letters. Also taped off and sprayed part of my aluminum Bushur Racing plug cover. To top it all off I bought stainless allen head bolts for it and a bada$$ custom oil cap(powdercoated satin black with mirror piece in center and Talon logo etched in it)...gotta love E-bay!

Looks really nice and clean, i really like the oil cap, havent seen any like that, gives it that finishing touch! :thumb:

Thanks for the comments guys! I did indeed get the cap from Bonehead Performance off one of their e-bay auctions. For some reason they pulled their auctions off e-bay but if you find their site you can order one off there. You can get it powdercoated any of like 2 dozen colors. ...not sure why the logo isn't lined up, but I'm working on fixing that too(not a big deal to me though, if it doesn't line up it'll bother me, but I'll live).

They glued the etched glass on the cap wrong or something. I have there mitsubish cap on my cover and its not like yours. I would email them and I bet they would be happy to replace it. Look at my cover in the gallery to see my cap.

Nice , just keep an eye on the plug wires.By that I mean a few years ago I bought this sweet plug wire cover , and used it for about 8 months , maybe a year and the car startd to run like crap. After a weekend of messing arounf found a few of my new magnecores wires bad.Now I may be speculating when blaming the SS plug cover, but I never have had a set not last a few years. But my cover was thick , and did not dissapate heat well, trapping it and distorying the wires.Pulled the cover off , replaced the wires and all is well two years later.

But enough about me , its sweet and the cap is hot.Good job bro.

I doubt it was the cover since we have a cover on there stock. Who knows though.

Well , the stock cover is plastic , and we all know how they warp. From the immense heat right there. My cover was very thick , I'd say 1/2".Kept in all the heat. But like I said , could have been a fluke.....
