2G Custom tail light ideas

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Ive been debating on attempting to make a set similar to these that are sold for Supras. Id probably water it down to have 2 halos for brake lights and a yellow for the turn signal but not trying to get too far out there considering ive never done something like this before, and Im not great with wiring. But figured it would be something else to attempt after the headlight retrofit that I was going to start soon

That would be really cool. Idk if you noticed the circles in 2 are literal solar "eclipses" LOL

I wanted to try using these ebay tail lights as a base....

since it already has the circular tail light and not using the middle piece of course. Definitely not in love with these because they seem like they would be sorta "cheap" and might not fit that great, but the it looks like it would be a good starting point. Thought i might be able to size the halos to it. Admittedly, i dont have the know-how or background to do this, but have a couple of bucks available just to mess around with and see where it gets me... So if anyone has the skills and wants to run with the idea, have at it. i might buy a set from someone myself :D

I've been wanting to make Testarossa style tails for my 2G for a long time now.

My idea is to cut the lens and inset it by about half an inch then add fins to the lens so that they are flush with the trunk line. Have them going all the way from one end to the other.
