Custom Catchcan?

Could i simply use a bottle, and vaccum hose to make a catch can, instead of buying a metal one, and pretty lines for it? There isn't that much pressure on it, and how much oil really does build up in the can??

I went to wal mart and found a Fram fuel filter. The number on it is G2. I know they had one really similar, it just had a larger diameter inlet and outlet. Good luck.

I tried the fuel filter before and it didnt stop oil from going in my intake. Im thinking about making a catch can out of a gatoraid bottle.

um..your supposed to plug the hole on your intake pipe, and run the hose out of the filter just down to the ground, see, i know how they work, just don't wanna get my lazy but up and do it.

Just run the hose to the ground, there should be little that comes out.

You can make one too, out of PVC, just get two end caps and a small peice of PVC, glue together and attach some fittings to the top to whatever you want to drain in there, and put a valve on the bottom for drain....good luck

Why need a valve, why not just take the thing out(or just undo the hose from the VC), and pour the oil out, very very simple, actually, if you have a extra boost leak tester, your almost done, just take the valve stem out, glue in the hose, and seal up the other end.
