i just got my car put back together and i took it out to go put some gas in it....and the car accelerated fine but during acceleration the right rear of the car would start rumbling and vibrating very loud.....i mean loud.....like it wanted to jump off the car and go its own direction.........the car has not seen road in almost 3 years, but before i tore into it, i didnt have this problem.....if its the rear end how could it go bad by sitting????if not what could it be....

i checked
wheel bearings--fine
suspension bolts--fine
no leaks
its the same drive shaft
i checked the carrier bearings, not very stiff, but i think ok----filled with silicone anyway(not like the 1gs but i filled the one side)

i need help quick, im anxious to drive it.......its been so long it dirvin me crazy!!!

If the car has been sitting in the same place for 3 years then your tires are likely developed flat spots. Take your tire off and roll it on a flat ground and see if it kinda bounces.

nah the rims are new the only have the road time on them that i just put on them the other day...........and this that im talkin about is alot more violent then that..it aint no thump thump type of noise, its like what alot of the 1g guys talk about happens to their cars(the carrier bearings getting worn), but i cant find anywhere about it happening to 2g's

Oh it happens on 2g also, I replaced my carrier bearings earlier this summer.

The car would shake and hum really damn loud over 30ish mph, there was no lead to it.. it was just sudden like something broke.

yeah exactly, i filled the carrier bearings with silicone a couple days ago and took it for a drive today, its still doin it, but today i drove it for a lil bit longer and while i was driving it actually stopped as soon as i was goin a constant speed and then started again when i started accelerating.....

the silicone made them a lot stiffer so i dont understand why it would stiil do it like that..

im lost, and its irritating me :toobad:

I'd say Wheel Bearings but you checked them. Have you looked for maybe a bent axle?

yeah see thats the thing.......before i rebuilt the motor and did the body stuff, everything was fine, and i havent done anything to the rear end at all, so how could anything get messed up
