Ok i know it's a so called sports car, but the 95gst i bought USED 2 weeks ago seems like it bottoms out in the rear. It has no travel whatsoever, makes for a VERY unpleasant ride. Now i don't mind bumps and shit but when there are little waves in the road or dips, the rear goes down and picks up in a hurry, lifts me out of the seat and i'm 230 lbs. It doesn't seem like the shocks/struts are worn though. Is this normal? I really hope not.

Thanks,

TTT someone just tell me if these cars are supposed to bottom out or not. The shocks don't move for shit though when i press down on the car.

My 95 always had a nice ride until my shocks started slowing wearing out.
You shouldn't bottom out....You sure you have stock springs on the car. That could be your problem. IF you DONT have the wheel gap of a dunebuggy then you may have aftermarket springs w/ stock shocks and not even know it.

^^^^ he said it.

Your poor ride quality could be caused by lowering springs paired with stock or stock length shocks. You should definetly check out if you have stock or aftermarket springs, and also check your shocks.

It's not lowered, that's for sure. I guess the shocks are worn out, it rides like shit.

Ok the ride thing is a universal question but if i can't figure out what it is i'm selling the car and getting a Taurus (building a track car anyways) but i do love the car other than the ride. It bounces so bad it picks me up off the seat literally. But get it on a nice smooth road and you can't feel the car at all its nice. I really don't want to spend 400+ bucks on shocks just to see if that's what it is. I can sell the car right now for what i paid for it, so that's why i'm thinking about selling it. If anyone can tell me if you're internal organs are supposed to be bounced around from the factory then it's gone :) Sorry for the whining, ride quality is a big thing but i do know you have to sacrifice some comfort for speed but not this much.

thanks guys.

No,

i didnt notice my car feeling any "bumpier" then my parents "insert oldsmobile, buick, pontiac, any FWD 4 door GM". It just didnt feel like a boat in the turns like their cars.
