Crappy Custom Speaker Job HELP!

i just got 2 alpine 6.5s and i had to cut the grilling off my rs doors so it would fit. Now they look real crappy and i dont know wut to do w/ it now. Any suggestions???

go to the hardware store and get some molding, like window molding thats curved on one side and will clip onto the cut peice. Either that or make a grill.

go get a coat hanger, cut it down and make a 6.5 inch circle. then get some black grill cloth, stretch it across the circle then glue it to your door panel. I'll think of something better later Im going blank.

i would get smaller speakers, then a new door pannel. too pricey? then just some grill from some speaker that will cover, then self tapping screws and bam! not as lame grills.

put your tuner style covers on the outside of the door panel for now

? why did you use the alpine grills, if the door already has factory grills?

thats why they did not fit back on!

hit up some junk yards for a new set of doorpanels

Try putting your gril on from the outside of the door panel that way it will cover the hole you cut.

I got this!!! Go to Home Depot Racing and check out the gutter section. They have a gutter guard grill that costs like $1.50 each. Grab one of those and paint it any color you want. Cut it out to the right size and take the door panel off and hot glue it into the inside of the door. For the edge of it check out walmart. They have black or chrome door trim molding that would probably fit perfect around it. Good luck and I want to see pics when you figure out what to do! Those speakers look nice by the way.

thanx for the compliments! yea i wanna be able to see the speakers so i just wanna put sumthin around the jagged edges. i think im gonna go to walmart 2morrow and find sumthin immediatly. but n e ways i got them off ebay for 65 shipped sweet deal rite? they look tiiiiite w/ neons reflecting off of them btw

I have a set of kicker freeair 6.5 SUBS in the doors in the factory 7" mount (ie 6.5S)
only had to cut the back part of it off for magnet clearance.

THe factory cover will clear just fine.
