crank positioning sensor problem please help

so my balance shaft belt broke the other day and took out my crank positioning sensor ive got 2 sensors and tried both of them and the car still doesnt start, we replaced the belt that broke, did timing and replaced the sensor, i have spark and the spark plugs smell like gas, but it wont start, any suggestions?

Does the sensing blade look ok (not bent or damaged)?

I'm gonna go ahead and suggest this even though I'm sure it's probably not it but it's worth a shot. I was helping a local out over the phone once and he had actually installed the crank position sensor on backwards. He flipped it and the car fired right up. Now I don't know if that's easy to mistake or if it takes a special kind of stupid to make that mistake as I've never changed one, but I figured that would be worth mentioning just in case.

Did you pull the front drive pulley or just replace the sensor?
you can actually put the sensor plate in upside down and then the sensor will also be upside down making the car way out of time.

If you did not remove the front drive pulley. I don't think you can even get the sensor to go in upside down. at least not without hitting the plate.

NAPA has listing for two different sensors, not sure what the difference is.
Autozone only has one listing, comes with a lifetime warranty and it worked great in my car.

Check that it's getting power, if it is, replace it or assure its installed properly.

When the BS belt broke, did it get into the the main timing belt and cause it to jump a few teeth?
