I’ve got a 1g eclipse that cranks but no start. I’ve got fuel to the rail. I’ve swapped ecus and also swapped mfi relay. I’m getting no power to the cas though. I’ve tested it by giving power to it it spins just fine. I don’t know if it’s just a big wiring issue or of all else both ecus could be bad. The car has sat since November after breaking a fitting off the old fuel pump but I replaced it and it ran fine before that. Also it would start on starting fluid when given power to the cas I’ve checked every fuse and relay in this car so it’s nothing to do with those. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have spare CAS to try? I just went through the same thing and it was the CAS.
I don’t have one but I did the cas test everything turned out fine but it’s getting no power to it at all. I switched out the mfi/mpi relay for a brand new one nothing.

Check the fusible links on the battery. If they are good, check power at pin 103. That powers the mpi circuit. But first, make sure your cel comes on for 5 seconds then turns off, and the boost gauge goes to 0 when you turn the key to on position.

This is a dirt car NA sorry didn’t mention that sooner. But checked pin 103 and the #19 fuse that goes with it got power and I also have power on 102 and 107 with the ignition switch on.

Okay so I’m at this point I just took my tester and grounded pin 8 on the mfi. That switched everything caused the mfi/mpi to click and also the cas. But still no start. Injectors still wouldn’t spray but everything else sounded like it switched on.

So the next step would be to check power at 110 with the key on. If you’re not getting power, you’ll have to check between there and IG1. Bad ignition switch or bad wire???

The ECU sits dormant in a powered down state waiting to see pin 110 (IG1 from ignition switch) go high (to battery voltage). When pin 110 goes high the ECU pulls pin 63 (MPI relay pin 8) low (to ground).

I’ve got power to 110 but he’s wired in a push button start there is no key anymore. But he had wires touching behind the ignition causing the ignition fuse to pop every time you try to start it but that’s fixed I’m about to just result in wire tracing and cutting the harness open and seeing if there’s something else that’s shorted out

I had a similar issue with my 2g. I lost the signal from the MFI relay to my fuel pump. When I would crank car would turn on nor the fuel pump. I ended up grounding the fuel pump wire and it worked. I think you have a wiring issue. If the car turns on with starting fluid, then your signal is being cut from some where. Let me look into the wiring harness and I will try to help out more.

It’s straight wired from the fuel pump After I stop giving power to the cas wire the mfi clicks off and I lose spark. Everything works but the injectors spraying when I give power to that wire.

Can u post some pictures of the wiring. Maybe adding an external relay may solve your problems temporarily.
I can in the morning I’m at work now. But I thought about just trying to bypass it by running a straight hot but also thought it’d fry everything LOL

I figured out the issue I cut open the harness and found 3 ground wires had come loose. I have power to everything but injectors still not spraying. I’ve got power to the injectors but not spraying any help there?
