I hit a tire from a truck on the highway the other day, and well, it cracked and chipped my paint on my front bumper and i don't have enough money to get it repainted

Do you think it would looks good and "non-ricey" if i spray painted this lip like this

If your going to paint it, your still going to need to sand that area down to bare material. Painting over spider cracks doesn't make them go away. If your going to paint the lip area, think about doing something like the new jettas, the chrome on the bumper. Not as out there, but maybe keep the black inside the opening all the way around. In my opinion it would make it look more complete than just a 2 foot black strip.

EclipseTrbo420A did you get that professionally done or did you do it yourself?

Im thinking of doing it like this...
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a279/rich3389/untitled.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Of course i will tape off everything and sand it all down.

I did it my self with duplicolor gloss black..it cost me 6 bucks. I taped, sanded and sprayed slowly then moved the tape out a cm from the black paint and cleared the whole thing. On both layers it help up 100% even when I slid in to a a rock last winter...Its good stuff.

If you are going to do it, don't let it look 'chunky'. Make the line go smoothly all the way across the bumper. Just taper it so its just a fine line towards the edges. Done right, I think it will look ok. But you will have to sand it down...good luck with it.

Here are some pictures of the "final" product...
