i tested my battery and alternator and turns out fine. but my car still wouldnt start. would it be better to take it to several places to get it checked?

You missed how this whole thing started there is another thread some where. He was driving and the car died so he got the alternator rebuilt by a local shop. Then he came home put the alternator in drove the car. So the battery ended up going dead most likely because it was not charging. Every one said the battery was shot. So he charges the battery drives it for 5 min comes home. Goes to start it again wont start probably cause the charge of the battery just went into running the car because the alternator was not charging the battery. So he took both to have them tested, with the usually useless parts dept bench test (except for batteries depending on the test machine) and he posted the results.

Also, when the car was running he disconnected the battery and the car died.

Now i have no idea by what he means it won't start till he answers your question. Are you jump starting this car from another because if you are raise the rpm's of the other car while hooked up for about 5min (around 1500rpm) then try to start your car while hooked up and with the other cars rpm's up.
