Cost of swapping motors?

Ok so im debating on wether to have a shop pull/rebuild my motor...vs.. buying a already built longblock and just pulling/dropping new one in...price wise...what am I looking at to swap a new motor into my 1g Talon, the longblock is complete minus, intake, exhaust mani's, and turbo...Anyone have any estimates to cost? just trying to weigh my options..Thanks for the help.

Anytime you can do the labor yourself, you can save alot of money. Theres alot to say about sweat equity.

I don't have the knowledge or time to do it, working 6 days a week. If I did I would attempt it, but I got to get the car back on the road in the least amount of time possible, and like I said, trying to weigh options of complete motor swap, or rebuild mine.

I had an EVOIII motor put in my 97 GST. Cost me $1000 just for the labor.

I know what you mean by the work thing. Nobody wants to spends nights and weekends under the hood after working 50 or 60 hours a week.

$1100 for the motor which is BRAND NEW, and 1000 in labor, vs about the same amount to rebuild what I already have...I'm down for that.
