Mississauga,
I have this autotensioner (part # MD308587) for my 1g 7-bolt here next to the old one I took off the car. Is this the right one? It is slightly different (upper right part) but looks overall the same.

I have never seen a tensioner like that my old 7 bolt was like yours. If its a mitsu tensioner they must have really changed. I would call mitsu and tell them and ask if they changed it for a reason. The bolt holes look a little longer apart on the new one may have aproblem with that.

Well now I am confused. MD185539 = MD308587 which is definetely not a 1g 7-bolt tensioner. The little pin cannot make contact with the tensioner arm.
Does anyone know the part number for a 1g 7-bolt autotensioner?

Here's the run-down:

1G 6-bolt: MD164533
1G 7-bolt: MD308586

95-early 96 (up to Aug. 95 production date) 7-Bolt: MD308587
Mid-96 through 99: MD308086

Hope this helps.
