I recently heard from a fellow DSM'r that the 1g ECU has some sort of code in it that tells the cooling fan to shut off above a certain speed.
I am wondering if anyone can confirm this? If so, how can I change it so that it is always on above say 200*F. I know I could wire it to a source that is always on when the car is running, that's how I did it in my truck.
The reason I ask is because I have been having trouble keeping the coolant temps down when climbing a long hill/mountain road. On flat roads the temps are fine, just when going uphill. I usually have to keep 5-10psi when climbing to maintain a decent speed too.
TIA.
