recently my car started doing this, it only happens on hard pulls and the car runs great even when its happening, all of a sudden you see smoke everywere so you pull over and the coolent over flow cap is off, put it back on and it goes away, the car never over heats and i have never seen coolent in the oil or vise versa , some said it might be a head gasket, would a leak down test , test this? cold it be a thermostat orma radiator capmor bad waterpump?

If it's not overheating , i'd lean toward headgasket starting to lift under boost. how much boost are you running? and have you upgraded to arp head studs yet?

I would have to agree with the head gasket theory. He's not going to overheat on a single hard pull. You're pushing air from your combustion chambers into your cooling system during your pull, which is popping your reservoir cap off. Grab some ARP studs. If you've already got ARP hardware, you may want to check your torque values.

Try a coolant pressure test. How old is your radiator cap?

Its very possible its a head gasket if your getting smoke and it happens during a WOT pull. Is it coming out the exhaust or from inside the engine bay?
