420A coolant lines

Has anyone removed the lines running across the manifold into the compartment to cool the evap for a/c ? I removed my a/c system and would like to know how to block the ends on the upper and lower coolant lines besides welding them closed. Also is any one using thermo-tec shields like the turbo wrap or intake cool wrap ?

Just remove the heater core, no welding modification needed.
