2g, auto with VRSF kit. Coolant tank doesn't fit anymore. I have very little room where the SMIC goes because I have a ram air setup over there.

I guess I have a few options and want to know which is best.

-NT 420a tank, where can it be mounted?

-ebay aluminim universal tanks. Looking at the ebay units I dont see how they work properly. Most dump in coolant from top, but how will fluid and not air get sucked back in when engine cools, unless there is a tube on the inside or am I supposed to use the OEM cam\tube?

Had the same problem with space, so i bought a summit overflow reservoir, then the engine overheat because was pulling air :/ so what i did, was to remove the top fitting and pass thru a hose to almost the bottom of the reservoir and done! No more overheat.

Not very aesthetic but I just bent the bracket and bolted it to the fire wall. Here Is a picture. You can see it in the upper left corner of the bay.

Switched to a universal and mounted it on the passenger fender. Check my pics, you can see it.

Your battery must be relocated?

I mounted mine in the SMIC hole. You could still reach the cap to check the coolant, but install/removal requires removing the bumper or at least the fender liner. Nice and tucked away though.

I will try to put it near the battery. My batter is dropped down to the frame and everything is tight. Either that or I will pick one from the scrap yard.

Intake scoop setup coming along:

That's a great mod. By piping my intake to the outside of the engine bay dropped my intake temps at WOT in third gear by 24° F

They were never more than 5* above ambient, and never rose more than 10-15* during a pull.
That's impressive. Mine were always waaay hotter than ambient (see above)

The issue with putting the filter where the SMIC is that the filter can get dirty quick, maybe wet if you drive thru big puddles, and changing the filter might require bumper removal. I plan on running my intake scoop (roof pipe shield), to some 4" pvc pipe, then to Spectre inline filter to complete the ram air setup with filter. filter is pretected against rain, placed where the MAF sits, and can be taken out completely for a true ram air setup (track use recommended only). This should give cool air temps, and a lil positive pressure pre turbo to help with effiency.

Mines not a DD and I don't really drive in the rain so I'm good there :) But I'm going to go a quick release front bumper cover system so I won't really worry either way.

easy solution here and I know its ghetto but a gatorade bottle works. Thats what Im using

LOL I was waiting for the Monster can or Gatorade bottle. I just knew it would happen. Actually ive seen some Monster can tanks that were done right that, dare I say, actually looked half ass decent. Not for me, but to each his own. And when your in a pinch or on a budget, get r duuuun LOL

haha ## such a funny guy Im just losing it.Who cares what you use as long as it works

Hes kidding, reeeeelax brother

I am using an Advance auto overflow bolted close to fuse box area. No problems so far, probably woudn't pass tech inspection on big events though :/

94-97 Corolla\Geo Prism fits perfect
Used the bottle and bracket, oem cap fits fine
