Convert AWD to FWD?

Yes, I am curious about converting from AWD to FWD and not the other way around. I searched around a bit, but could only find old threads on the matter.

Is there a way to go about AWD to FWD and have the vehicle run reliably?

Please keep on topic. I don't want to get into WHY I want to do this and no I am not going to seek out a FWD DSM either.

This would be for my DSM, not my GVR4.

You could always get a fwd trans, axles and hubs and switch it that way. I know there's a few fwd guys using awd trans in the cars so there is a way to do it. Then you just need to remove the rear drive line parts, transfer case, axles and rear diff. I'm sure there's been someone else who has done this around .

Thanks. Didn't some of the Galant VR4's have a transmission that allowed them to switch to FWD?

That might make my idea easy peesy....hmmm looks like I'd need to get a T-case with the same option as well. My GVR4 is supposed to have this tranny in it already per the previous owner...I guess I should take a look, but even if it does I doubt it would also include the T-Case.
