Conversion kit??

i have my 91 tsi AWD and i hate the pop-up headlights it just ruins the car.. from the side angle it looks beautiful but from the front UGLY and i really really want to change the front end.. i like the the 93 front end.. could i possibly convert that on my car? has anyone done this? need help please haha WTF

Yes it can be done but there are some differnces in sheet metal. You have to cut off some tabs and drill some holes you may even have to cut some of the bucket out to fit the head lights. The fenders bolt right up. Bumper bolts up.

You will have to drill the radiator suport for the headlights. You will also have to splice the wire harness together for the head lights.

You will need:
Headlights
Turn signals
Fenders
front bumper
center bumper suport
headlight wire harness

Funny thing is I was looking to rip off the 92-94 front cap off a 94 I had a few years back and put on the 90-91 front cap

Not as simple as that. I think the radiator core support's are different. IM pretty sure they are but I could be wrong I have a 2g so i may be wrong

The core supports are different in that the holes with the stamped nuts are in different places you can drill it and either weld nuts on or just use regular bolts with lock washers or lock nuts. I used a 91 core suport in my 94. That took no modifcations except I had to weld on a bracket for the headlight I beilve. Or I had to take it off. I put the core suport on in 2004 so I can not rember all the details. I have moved on to 2gs I scraped my last 1g about 3 months ago so I can not go outside and look to rember what I did.

You are basicly going to need a donor car or acess to one or more in the junk yard might take a few trips to get every thing you need.
