Common idle issues yet very different. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello! I just recently purchased a 1990 GSX eclipse as a commuter car. I've read numerous threads that relate to my problem but no luck. Someone please help!!! I have a problem regarding the cars performance. Whether it be at idle or even cruising on the freeway, I would get a check engine light which will stay on for like 2-3 seconds, and then turn off. Then the car would start to idle sparatically from 1k to 3k. On the freeway, if this happens, and I try to accelerate, it feels as though there is no power. Then accelerator does not respond. At idle it will feel like the car is going to die out and sometimes does. Again the CEL only flickers one for that split second and then turns off and when you start to accelerate, the car buck and surges. It only does this sometimes. I've check the diagnostic port to read any codes, but it checks out fine. No codes what so ever. I've done the the tune up including the 02 sensor. Could anyone please help. Thanks. Have you changed plugs (NGK BPR6ES ONLY for a stock turbo DSM, gap em at .028-.030) and wires? It sounds like a misfire to me.

i had a similar problem and mine was my MAS plug was a little loose and had a bent pin...check that out

SpeedFreak03-Will fouled plugs cause the check engine light to flicker on and off and then start to buck like crazy?? Sorry I'm very new to the DSM world.

DevilSperm-so it was your plug that was messed up? I've read a couple of threads with you posts and you were getting the same symptoms I am currently having. How did you remedy your problem and were you getting a CEL and then it turns off after revving or accelerating?

it depends on which post of mine you read, if they are the recent ones, no i havent fixed it yet...but the current problems i am having have the same symptoms so my MAS plug was the first thing i checked but it wasnt the problem...i think i have bent valves

Okay started the car today....more information....the CEL came on after 30 seconds of idling. As usual, the idle became very low and stalled out. I tried to start the car but no start. I turned off the car and let it sit a while and turned the key onto the ON position without starting the car. I looked at my gauge cluster and the RPM gauge and boost gauge start to twitch by itself without the engine even on!!! WTF right? Well I go to start my car and it starts right up. This time the CEL is on. I didnt have a scanner with me so I don't know what code it pulled up. Well after driving it maybe 2 min. to get on the freeway, the CEL turns off and the car drive perfectly again. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! I THINK MY CAR IS POSSESSED!!!!
