Okay I'm just wondering what type of intake I should......And it's hard to find a intake for a turbo but anyways I found 1 Injen Ram Air Intake Kit.......So my real question is that whats it mean by "RAM"....o and is Injen a good brand plz any suggestions?

Well I mean I dont have a grand to spend on a intercooler b/c i still gotta get a exhaust ...so is worth getting a intake for like 200 bucks and then waiting a couple months to get a intercooler.....plus im putting out 1500 for body work and a paintjob (great deal not cheap paint or a macco job believe me) and i just put 1000 for Motegi Racing FF7 rims with tires ( got a good deal to) plus about 500 dollars in fixing the engine so i have like 1200 dollars right now to manage to get a cat-back and a intake / intercooler do you u feel my pain :thumb:

1200 is enough to get an intercooler and a catback, you might need a couple hundred more if you want name brand though.

"You don't need CAI on a turbocharged car, the intercooler does a much better job at cooling."
I disagree yes u need one, i got mine on ebay, its works fine, try that

Unless you guys have front mounts, which i dont see on your mod list, you dont have a cold air intake. You may have a ram air like the injen intake, which is a pipe that runs from your turbo that connects to the mass air which then has a filter on the end. With out a front mount you cant run a cold air intake b/c the stock sidemount is in the location where it would go.

Also if you got 1200 to spend this is what i think you should get:
Catback exhaust: 600 for a thermal or apexi
Boostcontroler: 50-100 for a manual
Boost gauge and pod: 50-100
Intake w/ filter: 100-200 for injen
Greddy upper and lower intercooler piping/ dijon tool: 100-200
Greddy bov or 1G: 50-200

This way you have some nice looking stuff under the hood and when it is time to get a front mount you just buy the greddy and you already have the piping for it. Car should be somewhat quick after this, assuming you have plugs, wires and your car is up on its service. If you got some money left over shop around for a downpipe.

1200 bucks and thats your mod list... maybe you should rethink... shop around get used stuff... why waste money on name brands that are "pretty" pretty ricer if u ask me

MODS
10$ boost controller
350$ clutch
300$ FMIC (enough to hold 600+ hp again custom)
100$ piping (short route custom made)
20$ 1g bov
100$ in exhaust piping and having a welder weld up a flange and just run it short without a cat or muffler out the side behind your front tire
85$ walbroo 255
90$ B&M fpr plus fuel pressure gauge
10$ abs intake
150$ used maf-t
50$ used gm maf
40$ boost gauge
TOTAL 1200$ <-- that will get you into the 12's easily with good tuning.

will be owned by cops :p

buschur makes an alsome cai. getting colder air could cause lower intake temps sense the fmic doesnt have to cool even more heat. :thumb:

No way you can run 12's with this setup in a second gen. Show me one person that even ran a 12 with a t25.

also remove that lil plastic thingy that connects ur wheel well to where ur filter sits (2 screws)...it will let more air in and remove the splash guard behind ur smic and i also made a custom heatshield around the filter.

or if you are gonna buy the Injen intake kit, read my article for install... :p
