I have a 1G eclipse 2.0 N/T. I have a new coil pack and my connections are good. Does the cam sensor have a separate signal for cylinders 1 and 4 and another signal for 2 and 3?

Cylinders 1 & 4 do have a separate signal from cylinders 2 & 3. The wiring diagram is on pages 67-70 of the electrical manual if you want to check continuity before replacing the CAS. You might want to ohm out the new coil pack, just to be sure its good. Was the car running fine before you replaced the coil pack? Replacing the pack should not have affected the CAS.

edit: It looks like code 44 is a common result of capacitors going bad in the ECU. Its easy to pull out and take a look inside.

The car was not running fine before I replaced the coil pack. I threw a power transistor on it today and it did the trick. The code 44 is a misfire on 1 and 4 and or power transistor failure code. I got on my shop computer today and printed out wiring schematics for the car. Problem solved, Thanks for your input anyway!
