I have a 1g with dsmlink and I keep getting code 0021, coolant sensor malfunction and its killing me. I looked at the wiring and its a yellow wire with a green stripe and a black wire with a green stripe. I tested the sensor and it was bad so I purchased another one and am still getting the code. Ive read that when it throws this code the afr's are super rich, the exact symptoms I'm getting. This is the last thing I have to get fixed before it gets tuned and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what it is . The connector on the sensor is this shape I-- like a side ways "T". I appreciate all the help in advance.

FINALLY FIXED!!! I had the wrong wire! I cant believe that there are two yellow wires with a green stripe. The previous owner ripped all of the connectors off so they were just bare wires. It was a good feeling when I checked the codes there were none. Fixed the last boost leak and should be ready for the dyno in the next week or so. Thanks for the help guys!:hellyeah:
Have you tryed pulling the battery and letting it sit.. if you just swapped them out you may still just pick the code up.
pull the battery and shut it down for a couple of hours.. then give it a try.. thats my guess if you bought a NEW one.

Check for continuity in the wiring. I had some of the same problems, found blown ground circuits in the ECU, then had a bad connection in the MAF plug itself.

You are going to have to patch the yellow wire. I'm surprised it has not been mentioned yet but the 1g is notorious for that wire breaking in the main loom as it passes through the firewall. It is a big pita getting a new wire through but there's no other way around it.
