Alright I think my clutch just isn't strong enough for my setup, but I would like some advice from you guys before I go out and get the wrong product.

My clutch only slips when I launch the car under boost. Just regular driving the clutch feels fine. Am I correct in my diagnosis?

Also here is what I was thinking about getting:
ACT 2600 solid 6 puck.

Any help would be greatly app.

I've got to get this fixed, I was pulling 2.39 60 ft times last night:notgood:

Yeah those 60ft are not good, but a act 2600 is a good clutch you wont have any problem with that clutch for at least 400hp.

possible the clutch is slipping as in almost toast, i had this on a fwd every time i tried a burnout or launch it would slip BAD but soft daily driving was great, under boost it would slip also so i had to turn down boost so i could drive without slippage, a solid unsprung clutch is not a good thing for a daily driven car, from what i have read from some threads on here but i guess a solid clutch user will have to give better advise.

If you're using the 2step and building boost by loading the trans/clutch that could be the reason you're slipping. If you do this too long you're more likely to slip...

I would highly recommend against getting a solid puck for a car that isn't track only. I used a 4 puck sprung clutch for a long time and it had amazing grabbing power and wasn't too difficult to drive daily. If you're bent on a puck clutch, get springs, like I said, unless you're going to be only driving on the track.

The only reason I was leaning towards a solid clutch is, I've been told that the springs tend to come loose on the ACT discs. I never had problems in the past but I really don't want to have to go back into the tranny again soon. I don't drive the car everyday, but I do like to cruise it as well as track time. I guess ACT 2600 sprung 4 or 6 puck is the way to go.

Is the 4 puck gonna be to hard on a stock tranny or would it be fine?

I really want to be able to take advantage of my AWD but right now I can't but I can't afford a new tranny yet. Let me know my best course guys. Thanks in advance

stock trans, go with a sprung clutch, you get that solid disc and BOOM there goes the trans from the instant shock of the unsprung clutch, your first culprit will most likely be the center differential.
