clutch pedal press drop

OK heres the deal i have a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a spec stage 2 clutch. Since I have installed it my clutch pedal engages the clutch at differnent points. I have bleed the lines. I believe its the slave cylinder is leaking due to the heavy duty pressure plate or that the splines on the pressure plate aren't correct. Other then that the clutch is great it grabs hard and shifts great. but some times when going threw the gears it well disengage and different points on the pedal and reengage at different points, but if I pump it once it goes back to normal and sometimes its fine all the time. I think may the the throwout bearing is having to go farther to make contact with the pressure plate. What do you guys think?

Either your slave or master went bad most likely.

When I put in my 2600 my Slave died shortley there after.

Check for fluid leaks around the clutch master/slave cyl. and all the clutch lines.

check for leaks and none the reservor is still full. i may replace it i have one off my wrecked 96 talon that was good. see if that fixes it. the o seals inside may be bad allowing it to loose press. but i still think is the pressure plate is makeing the throwout go farther to disengage. the clutch. does anyone else have this issue with a n/t eclipse talon with aftermarket clutch?

If that were the case all you would need to do is adjust the clutch. But by the symptoms you described earlier it sounds like you are loosing pressure somewhere so it has to be leaking.

do all clutches have adjustment for the splines? i going to replace the slave and check all lines first because its the easiest to do and see if that fixes it. if not i well have to drop the tranny to adjust the splines.
