Well today as I was going to school I shifted into second and the pedal did not come back up. I managed to park it into the school parking lot. After it stalled out I pulled the clutch pedal out with my hand. Then I tried driving the car around the parking lot. It drove fine. Then 9 hours later Im on my way home.

75% to my destination. As Im getting off the expressway I press my clutch in as Im braking, I put it into fourth, let go of clutch and it doesnt come back up. Now I was able to pull into another parking lot and park it. This time if I press the clutch in it wont come up at all, and it wont let me shift.

So what does this sound more like? Clutch (please god) or crankwalk?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. Its a horrible feeling. I have all these thoughts in my head about what could come of all of this. Im really hoping its the clutch.

Clutch master cylinder is probably the issue. Alot have been going bad lately. Check the fluid level and also check up under the dash where its mounted ( left -abouve the clutch pedal) if any fluid has leaked in. Seals might have blown

Doesn't quite sound like the walk to me.

Yeah, I had a very similiar experience. I thought it was crankwalk too, but found out it was one of the clutch cylinders. I replaced them both and flushed the system, and after a day it was back to normal. (for some reason for the first day it still felt light when coming up, but it's been 4 months now and never had the problem). For now though, until you get it fixed, if you go on a drive where you don't shift for more than 5 minutes, Pump the clutch pedal at least 15 times while in gear (hold the throttle so that you can engage and disengage without slipping too much). This will temporarily restore pressure to the system. If the car sits, especially in a cold area, or if youre driving a while without shifting, the pressure will fall off and the pedal won't come back up. At least in my experience. Hope this helps. :dsm:

That wont work, I cant shift. I can start it in first or whatever gear. But it wont shift while it is on. Once I turn the car on the clutch stays pressed down. Also even if Im pressing it all the way to the floor it still stalls. I had the car towed to my mechanics house and he will look at it tomorrow.

Oh sorry, I forgot that it was that bad. I lost almost all pressure, but it was still enough to shift, that's why I was able to pump the clutch in gear. Let us know the outcome so people that search and find this will get the answer :thumb:

Its all good. Mechanic called and said its the slave clutch cylinder. Im so happy. But I have to wait for the part to come in on tuesday...
