To me the 1g trans. Awd or fwd is way easier than a 2g. It takes me 40 min. To drop the trans on a 1g and about 1 hour 30 min on a 2g. The 2g has more stuff to remove, and is a little more tight on space.the process is the same for both except on a 2g you have to remove the crossmember that sits under the trans. And a 1g it doesn't have one.

The main difference for me was the room. The 2g has way less room to work with and tighter fit for the tranny to squeeze into the mounts. It's all the same process.
