Climate control question

I have a 1989 plymouth colt DL. I have looked all over but haven't been able to find an answer to my question. The blower motor stopped working the other day and I've tested the blower motor by jumping wires. I've pulled the blower resistor and tested the resistance on it and it's fine. I've also tested the relay and it works fine. Ive narrowed it down to the climate control switch but can't figure out how to remove the cables on the assembly to pull the thing out. If someone has done these before and could help me out that would be awesome!!

I believe you'll actually pull the cable at the blend-doors on the hvac box itself. Should be some metal tension clips and a round end on the cable you pop off. If you try removing them from the register up there, it'll prolly break.

I assume you'd have 3 cables, 1 for recirc/vent, 1 for hot/cold, and the other for blend-door vent selection.

Don't have a colt myself but that's how every other car from the era works essentially.
