ok .. i just wanted to make sure the sealant would come apart from the heat in the oven.. has anyone had any leaks with theirs after doin this? i know my drivers side light has a leak in the headlight that i cant find..so maybe doing this will help.. also would u recommend added extra sealant to reattach?

You should always clean the old sealant off after you get the headlights apart and always use new sealant when you put them back together. You will have the best results that way.

i have just a little dust on the inside of my right headlight and was wondering if instead of taking it out and apart if taking a bulb out and blowing air in to the headlight with a air hose would work

yes..that would work.. the guy who built my car did that to my headlights since they got dusty from sitting in his shop for so long. and he didnt even have to take the headlights out. .. it worked great!!.. in fact i need to do that again...and fix my dang leak i have in my light too.. but cant seem to find it=((where its leaking that is)

it will look damn good when you're done.

I did this mod today and was disturbed to find that i had an amber bulb as well as an amber lense because the previous owner replaced it wrong when it was in an accident. I did, however, paint the housing red and it turned out really nice other than the fact that my lense is a replacement and has a fogged up type of plastic and doesnt look as good as the stock one.
