My headlights arent as bright as they should be. I had wet sandpapered it down with a 2000 grit and used compound.

The only solution is cleaning the inside lenses of the headlights.

I heard this procedure calling baking the headlights? can someone link me or tell me how to do this procedure??

bake them in the oven pull apart wet sand inside clear silicone and stick back together....not too bad !

Here is just a bit more info on this.

Take the headlights out of the car.
Remove the bulbs.
Remove silver clips that are on top of the housing that hold the glass and backhousing together.
Once you have those (I think they're two on each headlight) removed put the whole headlight in the oven for about 5-10 mins at ~300* F. I stood at the oven and watched so they didn't light on fire LOL.
Remove headlights from oven, take flat head screwdriver and slowly, carefully try to pry apart the glass from the housing. There will be a black glue type substance that holds them together. If it's very difficult to pry them apart, put them back in the oven for a few more mins.
Now take apart the assembly and you'll see the chrome housing.
Prime, paint the chrome housing only.

Reassemble headlights, put silver clips back on, press evenly around whole assembly to make sure they're fully together. Put the headlight assembly fully assembled back into the oven so the glue can "melt" again.
Take out after about 10 mins at same temp. as the first time and press evenly again.

Check to make sure everything is sealed perfectly.

Enjoy having non-ghey headlights.

This is not my post...I copy/pasted from a quick post from another forum. :p

Here is a video off youtube....some what annoying but it works LOL.

Only in your case, instead of painting the chrome housiing, sand the inside of the housing.

But honestly I cant see the inside of the light being fogged. I use a medium grit steel wool to get all of the yellowed/discolored plastic off. Then hit it with the rubbing compound. I just did this last night on one of my Talons, and it worked perfectly.

they also sell little headlight lens restore kits. we sell one that comes in a silver bag and it's like $20. it's enough to do one pair of headlights and it comes with everything you need to do them, and it comes with a sealer too. pretty good stuff. watched one guy do it in the parking lot. his headlights were BAD. that kit made them look brand new again. it was pretty cool.
