Cleaning Pistons and Bearings

Just got new wiseco pistons and clevite 77 rod bearings, whats best to clean them of manufacturing debris? I've heard alcohol, any suggestions, also if it's something a little different explain why. i.e., use irish springs becuase it smells a lot, or use a virgins blood because it's pure etc etc...

Alot of people use alcohol because it evaporates so quickly in the air, and tends to not leave a heavy residue. Don't forget to use some assemebly lube!

All of the parts washers I've used use that purple... Castrol cleaner, I believe it is? It's in a big purple bottle, and it'll wash the flesh off your bones if you're not careful with it

Alcohol will work fine. Buy some purpose built assembly lube. I would not get moly or graphite as it is gritty. I bought a tube from Costal which was clear and was made especially for bearings.

yeah thanks ill use alcohol, i tried diluting that purple degreaser like 10:1 and it still was too strong and took off some clearcoat on my wheels...didn't matter but i was thinkin holy shit.
