I'm thinking how sweet a little TV would be but... It would be a lot more clean/functional with the SAFC in there.

How much do you think you'd make another for, with SAFC and TT cuttouts?

I could make one for 60 bucks if you send my your center vent.

theboogieman - I have so many good ideas that we should try and knock out, and you should really start thinking about making exterior pieces, you would make a killing. I have absolutley no ideas on how to make a mold, anything I do is actually covered in carbon fiber besides my headliner, which was actually very "easy."

Well definitely hook up this summer. PM me some way to reach you.

As for exterior parts...already in the works!!! I am currently making molds of my Bomex side skirts (did some work today on them) and also bought F1 fenders from Aspec Motorsports awhile back and am making molds of those as well for carbon fiber replacements. And I am also making the mold for the front lower windshield part...which will be my favorite part really.

But you know how it is, just gotta find time to finish and of course $$$ out of pocket to make them. Sometimes I gotta' foot my own bill for molds if I want the part bad enough for myself! :)

and BTW, for anyone that cares, those F1 fenders from Aspec Motorsports SUCK!!! I am having to totally rebuild the flange were you would bolt the fender along where the hood would sit. Instead of a nice flat flange along the edge it was wavey and shaped like a "V" instead" of a "L"!!! What a nightmare, still working on those damn edges.

down here in FL i would never ever THINK of taking those vents out, the door vents are worthless. these are the only ones that keep me cool in this 95 degree heat.

:(
Same here actually.

Any other very "creative" idea's for gauge locations?

I've seen gauges lined up where the passenger airbag goes.
Some guys stick em in thier glove boxes,
you could put them in your center console under the arm rest
I've seen one mounted in the door vent
You could mount them on the dash like dsmnate has
inside the gauge bezel
In the headliner
Down by the radio bezel
Cigarette lighter

It would probably be rather difficult to do, but you could probably cut out a section of the dash on the top, and make a tray that slides out of the dash vertically that holds a few gauges (i saw some guy w/ a 1G do this with a tv screen)

well if you properly block out the center vents behind the panel, the air will just come out of the other vents with more power

We all need to hook up at the Shoot Out and check out each others interors. I know there are a few rides I really wouldn't mind checking out! And not from a business perspective but from a DSMer/creative perspective.

When is the shootout this year?

I definatly would like to make it to the shootout this year.....maybe You, bOOstd GSX, and I could all meet up somewhere in Pa and drive out together since we all live in PA.
