Is it just me, or does it seem that turbokits.com has the cheapest price on a 4g63 bolt on turbo kit to switch from an NA to a Turbo engine safely...??? Its something like 2399without the fuel management stuff, which i won't need, i have a thing to manage my fuel already... I am already going to put in 310cc injectors and a turbo intake cam... so the max of 6psi of boost is more than enough for me... its just does that seem like a fair price??? everythings already pre fabricated... completely bolt on... if anyone knows of how or where i could do something cheaper, than by all means please do tell me, but don't say junkyard, becuase I have been in junkyards now for months, NO FREAKING TURBO ECLIPSES!!!! none... at all... I've been disappointed time after time, so please... please help me.

dude automotorsports has a turbo kit with a 60-1 for 1800.

2399 is insane. if you knwo where to look and find otu what you want to run in means of a turbo you can get it a lot cheaper. 310 cc injectors will also run lean on 6-psi. id get at least 390's and also you have to be careful boosting a n/t bottom end. the pistons do not have the stregnth in the ring lands and you will blow them off the pistons.

you wanna go turbo do what im doin. build a big rod bottom and, use a stage on head so its all cleaned up, nice springs, nice retainers, new oil pump, new timing, new water pump, and a 50 trim or a 60-1. i can do that setup for about 1600 which is a little more then what your spending. trust me man my bottom end is costin me liek 200 so far. ill hhave manybe a grand after machine work is doen and crank is bought.

still seems expensive to me dude

well... why would 310 not be enough for 6psi??? Everyones been saying 6psi isn't crap... and everyone on nonturbo performance say that they have all this performance stuff and haven't touched injectors... stuff that makes me think they are running lean, but they say they are having no problems...

look at it this way, thats the turbo that comes on the turbo cars right, say a 1g turbo upgrades to that turbo. its a t25 i beleive. there pshin 390 or 450cc injectors. so why would 310 be safe. stock turbop cars max otu stock injectors pretty easily but i think with that kit 390's would be good to go with.

you figure they upgrde to a 16g and run the stock injectors out pretty quick, that turbo is comparable to the 16g. go with 390's

but i see it in psi boost... the 16g real turbo on a car like mine at full boost... of course... and a blown engine... but a small turbo only putting out 6psi... stock injectors being 240, gonna be real lean... so i figured 310... thats a significant increase... correct me if i am wrong, but i have read alot of articles... but seriously do correct me if i am wrong.

the t25 in that kit is comparable both in size and cfm as the 16g, its just a different turbo. look around and see what cfm they both flow, very close.

310 and 6 psi imo will be lean. dont forget a n/t motor pulls a lot less air then the turbo pushes. id go with at least 390 or even 450cc injectors dude.

your thinking is a little wrong here. there running 390's, and can max them out, yes, but there also running 11-13 psi, double what he wants to run. so he should be ok to run 310's.

you can run the HRC kits on the stock injectors of a 2gnt, which are 190cc or 225cc and there wastegate is set to 5psi and there fine.

a T-25 does not flow the same as a 16g

not quite the same but not to far from the same. i think hell max out those injectors on that boost level. because you and me both knwo hell get used to the 6 psi and wanna go more to get a few extra lbs of boost then hell have to upgrade anyway. why not get the 390 cc injectors in there and tune em in to run the 6 psi and not be pig rich. not a hard task, this way when he wants to push a few extra psi he can. well after a bottom end build up.

6 psi is liek pointless and will give him power yes, but a limited amount. all im trying to state is he can build a good bottom end fairly cheap with the right resources and hell be way stronger then he is now and wont have to worry abotu breakign stuff dramatically.

he can use his block, get used 95 pistons form a 25, get new rings, get used 6 botl rods which are redily avalible, run his crank, new oil pump and water pump along with new timing hes spending 1500 bucks and can slap his stock head back on with tsi cams and hell have abottom end to support 500+hp

he can leave the head stock and run a 16g or 20g even and make more. all he has to do is look at whats around and he can make his car a gst very very easily. im doing the same thign now and ill have a very good upgrade when im done. everythign bolts in and he can spend a extra grand on top of the cost of that thing and hell be better off.

ill explain further im more detail is needed on whats involved and what he can use also. lemme knwo and i can supply links to most of it.

I don't want more power... and i can't get more than 6 out of that kit... I am trying to do staged upgrades, hence the low boost level, and hence the smaller than big big injectors... I just want it to run, and run well for awhile till I can get more money to play with.

Well... thats the thing, I only want to run about 6... no more than 10... I'm just that type of guy who doesn't need all the horsepower, but likes to have that swift kick in the butt aroudn 3200rpm....

thats more than i paid for my 93 TSI AWD 5 speed and that gets more than 6psi stock

but without saying "sell the car and buy a turbo dsm", you could buy a beat up/crashed turbo dsm and switch all the parts to your car....and still spend less....
