Central & Western Massachusetts DSMers!!!

This is kinda a roll call for DSM's in Central and Western Mass...

There isnt much order for western and central mass dsm tuners (that i know of).
I know there is a Cape Cod DSM club.

But I know we are out there.. and with the spring and summer months approaching I would like to get a group of us together to cruise/bbq's/etc....

Hit this thread up with where your located and if you are down for the idea??

yeah i would also recommend newengdsm.org if you want to find out more about the cruises. there are some "problems" with that. what i mean by this is, some of the DSMers who put days together to do stuff live up in vt.


there was a cruise back in... ummm, i think it was october. i couldn't make the cruise, cuz it started at 9am. 9am ! that is just too early for me. anyways, i went for a bbq up in vt, and it took me 2 and a half hours to just drive up there! don't get me wrong, i was fun, but i'm not too sure it was worth the approx. 5 hour round trip. i did get to meet some of the guys, which was cool, but if there was something closer, it would be better for me.


i wouldn't mind having something in framingham, or auburn, or worcester, or somewhere around there. there are a fair amount of dsm tuners right in the worcester area, but someone needs to take the first step in getting us together. i tried to do it last year, but it didn't work out.

what do u have in mind?

NewEngDSM club just had a get together at Fireflys Barbecue in Marlboro last month, I think we had 50 people there.

I'm from Keene NH area - it was about 1 1/4 hr drive for me - but well worth it

Just checked the schedule - the Feb meeting will be the 26th at Fireflys in Marlboro, MA around 6pm

Looks like we already have 41 names on the list to attend..

yeah but that's the way it usually is. there will be like 50 people that say they will DEFINATELY be there, and then 10 people show up. that's what i'm told. if ten out of fifty people show up from a post, that's a good outing. i think that's horrible, but i guess sh*t comes up for some and not others.

steve, did u go up to doug's house last fall for the meet?

i'll have to check the site, cuz i have no idea where firefly's is...

No I didn't go to any meetings in the fall - The first off season meeting I went to was the Jan Firefly meeting - and we did actually have 50 people there - I counted them. It was actually too many - I never got to meet actually everyone - and because there were so many I probably don't remember half the ones I met.

They had to set up about 5 additional tables more than they had put aside for us.

It's on Rt 20 east of Marlboro center - north side of street.

The food was pretty good too - and they had a live band - but we left to Matts house just as the band started playing so we cold keep our discusssions going (Band was not bad tho)

Matts place was pool - beer (not for me of course) - and of course DSM talk - I didn't count how many went there - but must have been more than 25.

I PMed DSMunknown about something local here in the worcester area. I havent been in touch with any nor seen many DSMers in and around where I live... Its would be nice to get something together this coming spring and summer.. I do understand there is a big showing out towards boston and the cape, but i was suggesting a central mass/western mass showing and meets..
