Hey guys i have a question about the high flow converters it has nothing to do with performance. now i been looking for these high flow cats for the NA 420A motor. i already bought my catback and my headers and down pipe. now the question is, non of the places i want to buy from have the NA in stock only the turbo ones. now if i got a turbo one will it fit ? is the flange the same? and the pipe a bigger size. or is the flange and pipe bigger all together?? thanks!

Hey man hows it going! Okay to answer your question both the turbo and non turbo use the same catalytic converter. They flow up to 270 hp on a good day and less as they start to become clogged. They can install a turbo version and it will work fine for you. I am 90 percent sure that everything is the same. The only thing that may be different is the presence of the O2 bung on a aftermarket version. Dont worry they just cut the one off your stock busted cat and weld it to the new on. VUALA! PRESTO whatever LOL Your done!. I recomend buying a Cat Approved for the 2007 Eclipse GT ( yes the 260 hp v6). They keep you legal and have much more flow than your stock Cat you have now. Either way your looking at a couple hundred dollars.

But 97 cars can't take the universal high flow cats according to California..####ing bullshit I heard when a California state ref told me that my brand new one day old magnaflow cat was "illegal" because its not California certified..WTF is that?!?

Oh yeah, it might be different for you and the fwd turbo and N/T cats and exhaust are the same.

maybe i should clarify =) i am buying a test pipe/resonator. not a replacement OEM or high flow cat. now the resonators for the turbos they are selling i believe are like 2 1/2 piping and the NT is like 2 1/4 so i know the piping is little bigger for the turbo. but is the flange the same? =) which most likely is assuming what i read from you guys =) thanks!

Oh yea and i don't have emissions here so i am good on that part
