My cats definitely clogged on my 97 awd and its runnin like a shit box im planning on just knocking out everything from the cat-back and running a straight pipe out the drivers side no cats no mufflers. with just this straight pipe will it hurt my car with the lack of back pressure from not having any muffler and will it sound like a tractor???

Thanks

The less back-presure the better, so if your going to the track for a best time you would run off of downpipe only.

dont go with out a muffler, it will be to loud for daily use.

when i removed my cat, it increased my exhaust volume noticably. removing both will be a tractor

cut the cat, but put on a mufferler. U will lose alot of back pressure and it will cause your turbo to spool up much later.... Unless your running something really big under the hood?? Other then cut the cat and put mufferler...

im not too worried about how loud it is :) but ill probably try it both ways or have it like that until i get muffler

you seem to have it backwards, removing the cat aswell as anything else will make your turbo spool faster, I asume your on the stock t-25 which is small enough its going to spool fast either way.

for a 12.7 1/4 why is your trap so low?
