Cedar Rapids,
Hello, I'm currently considering an RNR catback (haven't decided 2.5" or 3"). My question is will the system fit up to my stock catalytic converter or is it time to invest in a straight pipe?:laser:

i just put mines on and i had to get a test pipe made b/c i got a pressbent downpipe also. But I had to be a new pipe because the 3" RNR catback wouldn't fit, I don't know if a 2.5 would fit either but FYI, the stock cat is 2"

Im also considering getting the RNR 3" turbo back exhaust. Is it worth the extra $100 for Stainless steal? and also if i get the turbo back does it come with a test pipe?

SS is if you think the car will be kept for a long time, as we all know, stainless steel doesn't rust...it just get's dark but can be cleaned off easily. turbo back goes from the turbo back all the way to the muffler, it's a complete straight pipe til the end where it comes with 2 90 degree bends. so to answer the question about the test pipe, yes. it eliminates the cat.

whats the difference between 3' turbo back and a 3' o2 eliminator back?

Turbo back comes with an O2 housing. O2 eliminator has the o2 housing as a part of the Downpipe.

Same difference , its still 3" turbop back whatever way you look at it just 2 more bolts, so performance should be the same ?

if you have experience with mods with the o2 housing, stock on a bigger turbo, you could get a good amount of boost creep. then you would spend 60 or so bucks to get it ported just to clear the creep. if you got the O2 eliminator, it's like taking an extra step and just going from the turbo back all the way out to the muffler, with no restrictions. think about it as a mendrel bent straight pipe pratically. also dumping exhaust early with the O2 eliminator by having it vented to the atmosphere gives you more HP because it doesn't have to be waited to be dumped all the way out the exhaust.

So if i want to get a performance cat later to pass inspection next year can i just bolt it up right where the test pipe is?

Not unless you tell them to cut it and flange it to where you can drop the test pipe. If you don't do that it will all be one pipe. The questions your asking about the exhaust have been answered already and are even an FAQ in the faq section.

That's mostly about o2 eliminator exhaust's but the first one explains what it is in high detail and WHY to use it or purchase it.
