CAS part number

Ok so I got a CAS but I want to make sure its the right one to do the full 6 bolt swap on my car. 6 bolt long block. the part number that I seen on it is
T1T49071 and under that is 9609
I didnt see any other numbers on there but I will double check tomorrow in the light.
can anybody help

Usually they refer to them by color of top. And if I remember right you need a Green or a Black top for a 6bolt.

Yes to the motor mounts. I'm postive you have to use them 2g 7bolt have all the mounts on the tranny. So I would suspect the 1g ones would be used.

You use all four 2g motor mounts, none of the 1g mounts are used.

You will need to modify the drivers side motor mount however.

alright Im ordering the motor mounts from extreme psi, they have theres onsale for like 55 bucks for all 4.
im also wondering about the turbo. since Im going wtih a evo III 16g, I dont need the 2g install kit since I dont have a 2g motor. heres a pic of the motor Ill be putting in.

Do you need the actual motor mount (metal part that bolts to motor/trans)? Or are you just looking for the motor mount inserts (aka Prothanes)? Just curious what you're buying for $55.

well right now Im getting the prothanes. those brackets that are on the engine right now wont work will they?

The motor mounts that are currently attached to the motor pictured above are for a 1g setup. You would need to use the motor mounts that came off of your stock engine. The Prothane kit from Extreme only comes with the red parts that are pictured, not the actual motor mounts themselves. The kit is just to strengthen the stock mounts since the rubber has a lot of flex in it.

So from this kit, you will use the black and silver items that were attached to your stock 2g 7 bolt motor. The red items are what you would be purchasing.

For the install kit for the 16g, you can use the stock oil feed/return lines if you'd like. You'll probably need a J pipe, depending on your intercooler setup. And then I would replace all the gaskets just to be safe.

Ok that answers my question about the motor mounts.
I dont have my stock 7 bolt motor. I had a shop in milwaukee WI strip my car clean.
so Im starting from scratch.

now in this pic, I need the crank gear correct?

Yes. You will also need a spacer (if you got rid of your balance shafts), trigger plate, harmonic dampener, washer, and bolt.

yes the balance shafts are gone. is there anywhere I can see some pics of this so I know what they are, not the washer and bolt of course but the damper and trigger plate.

wow thats a big thread, from what I got on post 275 (page 10)
