does anyone know where i can get molded replacement carpet? all the companies i have called dont make it for the convertible.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've called around and have been told that Mitsubishi actually hired a contracter to do the interior of the spyder, and therefore, there aren't any "OEM" replacements available. I was quoted a price of about 3-4 hundred to replace the carpet with padding underneath by some random upholtery(sp) guy. I plan on going this route whenever I get my car back from Turbotrix.

Good Luck!

I was told that the floor pan in completely different. Plus there is no hatch to be carpeted, I'm not sure what the back seats are like in a Hardtop, but the Spyder is basically a cushion sittin on the gas tank.

i'm almost certain that the company putting that ebay auction up (stockinteriors.com) was one i called in search of carpet and they said they didnt have it. i'll call again in case i havent yet, i dont remember i've called so many places. BUT if i'm not mistaken the rear seat in the convertible is a bit closer the the front seats than in the coupe so its not exactly one size fits all. can anyone confirm that?

if i have gray int you think a black carpet would look odd ? (curious)

As previously stated, I was told that the spyder floor pan is completely different. I have gone through about 20 different companies, all say similar things.

As for getting a black carpet, I was thinking about that, but was turned off when I saw a black carpet in another car with grey interior, clashed IMO, but do what you wish.

Sorry to report, they are different, though slightly. The corners by the outside edges of the seat are different.

looks like it might be worth saving a couple hundred bucks and getting the hardtop carpet and living with a little wrinkle back there. no?

ya get what ya pay for...i had to learn that the hard way, redo's are a waste of time and money.

i was planning on ordering a carpet for my spyder. black in color. worst thing that could happen is, it doesn't fit, i cut it short, or go down to the upholstry shop, get extra carpeting, and do it myself. 100 dollar ebay carpet is alot better than $400...

F this im going to wal mart and getting some fabric dye. or maybe i'll just go at it with some permanent markers.
