Yeah I just put a brand new Big T28 into my 97 Eclipse GS-t (have Walbro pump,Upper IC piping, 3 inch turbo back, K&N Cone) and the car is now doing some strange things. First the turbo is spooling up at like 3800 RPMs. Second when you engage the turbo in 3rd gear and beyond, it won't make boost past 5PSI and the car stutters (I had my boost set to 14 PSI). My air fuel gauge quickly goes to lean and then to rich under full throttle when it never hit lean before. I replaced all the appropriate gaskets when doing this turbo change and made sure everything was on tight (including all air hoses). Could I have a bad boost controller? I don't think the O2 sensor is bad but would a bad one cause the symptoms mentioned above. I need some help big time!

yeh i had the same problem awhile when i changed over to hard pipe for intercooler

rechecks all the clamps make the intercooler pipe is going through the silicone coupler about 1-2"and clamp it tight!!!! remeber them pips are under pressure and if it clamped right they are going to pop right off the pipe :D

Don't just check them, do a real pressure test.

I also say boost leak, but what injectors you running?, also what Walbro 190 255 etc.. if higher than 190 you need a AFPR. also the air fuel gauge is just a light show, not very helpful at all. when you shift, is there a cloud of black smoke?? If so your running rich, partly because of the boost leak and also maybe becuse of a bigger fuel pump. Also the stock 2g bov is a piece of junk that can't hold more than 11-12psi and thats pushing it. there design to leak. If you have another aftermarket or 1g bov then disreguard that statement. But no matter what DO A BOOST LEAK TEST.
